Jackson Has The Flu

  • Jury selection in the Michael Jackson child molestation case was delayed Tuesday because the pop star was taken to a hospital with an undisclosed illness. The judge announced at the start of the session Jackson had been on his way to court when he was taken instead to a hospital. CBS News reported Jackson was taken to the emergency room at Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria, apparently with the flu. The delay comes one day after Jackson's lawyers presented the jury pool with a list of possible witnesses that included such celebrities as Kobe Bryant, Jay Leno, Elizabeth Taylor and Diana Ross.
  • Divorcing: talk show hostess and entertainment reporter LEEZA GIBBON's husband of 14 years has filed for legal separation from the TV host, citing irreconcilable differences. STEPHEN MEADOW's lawyer says he'd like to work things out, if possible. They have two boys, aged 11 and 7.
  • Tabloids are reporting that Nicole Kidman has dumped her movie mogul boyfriend Steve Bing after just four months. The Aussie actress told pals she had to end her romance with the millionaire film producer because "he was anti-marriage".
  • A drama called The Sleeping Detective will star Bruce Willis as a narcoleptic private eye hired to track down the California governor's daughter, whose disappearance is linked to a long-ago murder. The flick has a tentative May start date.
  • It's Finally OFFICIAL: Foxx & Farrell Go Miami Vice-- As previously tipped here, we can now officially add Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell to the list of stars resurrecting TV shows for the big screen. Foxx and Farrell will star in a movie version of the cop series Miami Vice, which will be written and directed by Michael Mann, who was an executive producer on the show that ran on NBC.
