Billy Joel Hospitalized

BILLY JOEL has been in Long Island's North Shore Hospital for the past week. Billy checked himself into the hospital after suffering severe stomach pains. According to Billy's longtime publicist, CLAIRE MERCURI, the piano man has been complaining about cramps and gastric pain for a while now, so he decided to have it checked out. The 52-year-old, recently re-married Billy is expected to go home later this week. Insiders say it's either pancreatic or kidney stones --both caused and irritated by alcohol. Guess who'll probably be going on the wagon for Lent.
Also In Sick Bay: Actress JILL ST JOHN, now 64, who was medevacked from Aspen, CO, to a Los Angeles hospital after a serious ski accident. NYD sez friends are hoping she'll be well enough to join her husband, ROBERT WAGNER, at his 75th birthday party tomorrow.
MADONNA has some free time on her hands, so British press say she's taken up karate. She's reportedly even hired a trainer, known as a Sensei, to show her the ropes and get her up to speed with her husband and daughter. A source says, "Madonna has been taking her classes very seriously. GUY is also into karate and LOURDES has taken classes."
Another day and more bad news for Michael Jackson. Child actor Corey Feldman, who had a childhood friendship with Michael and has always spoken in support of him, is changing his tune. Feldman is now 33 and reveals he's come to a 'sickening realization' about his friendship with Michael. Feldman made the statement in an interview with Martin Bashir, the British journalist whose television documentary on Jackson led to his current trial.
