TV show films Ogopogo search

Led by intrepid world-adventurer Josh Gates, Destination Truth takes viewers on a trek across the globe as he investigates stories of the unexplained.

Accompanied by a small camera crew, Gates dives into the local cultures and searches for clues to the existence of strange creatures and paranormal phenomena.

For the past week Gates and his crew were in the Okanagan filming for the current season.

He was hunting for Ogopogo and other unexplained creatures of the Okanagan.

Viewers will ride along on unprecedented investigations into the beast of the deep Okanagan Lake.

“We have always been an attraction to production companies because of our beautiful landscapes, but we have also attracted a fare number of film makers because of that fabulous creature that swims around in our lake. I personally hope they don’t prove the Ogopogo exists because I love swimming in that lake. Yikes. But let’s let them show the world how beautiful our piece of the world is,” says Okanagan Film Commissioner Jon Summerland.

Destination Truth airs Wednesday evenings on the SyFy channel and in Canada on the Outdoor Life Network Monday thru Friday at 8 p.m.
