New Autobiography For Tatum

The outpouring of kind words for CHRISTOPHER REEVE, who died Sunday at age 52, has been plentiful and it's just getting started. Friends are remembering Christopher Reeve who died in New York over the weekend from an infection caused by a bedsore. Actress Glenn Close - a family friend and neighbor of the Reeves - spent time Monday with Dana Reeve, the actor's wife.

Tatum O'Neal's new autobiography, "A Paper Life," details what she calls her "hollywood nightmare," including the problems she had as the daughter of a famous actor, as an Oscar winner at such a young age, as the wife of notorious hothead John McEnroe, and as a heroin addict. She talks about it all on today's "Oprah Winfrey Show."

STAR JONES' wedding plans may have hit an unexpected snag. According to the New York Post, the co-host of The View, who had intended to get her invitations, flowers, dresses, and makeup for free by giving the suppliers publicity, was told to halt by her ABC bosses. Apparently, they're worried about violating FCC rules. Jones was quoted in the Post as saying, "I have done nothing illegal, immoral, or unethical, and more importantly, nothing ABC has not agreed to or signed off on."

JENNIFER LOPEZ teaches RICHARD GERE all about dancing in their new flick, Shall We Dance?, and he has repaid her in real life by teaching her all about Buddhism. Sources tell us that JLo is reading up on the religion after Gere discussed it with her on the film's set. According to the sources, J-Lo said, quote, "I would say to Richard, God, I'm always worried about being so strong.' He said, Maybe it's time to be strong in a different way.' He didn't say, You need to convert,' but he did give me some good advice."
