Upcoming Tour Dates Canceled

A publicist for MELISSA ETHERIDGE announced the 43-year-old singer has been diagnosed with breast cancer and has canceled her upcoming tour dates in order to receive treatment. The statement says Etheridge will undergo surgery and her doctors expect a, quote, "speedy and complete recovery and the cancer was detected early.” Etheridge issued a statement saying, quote, "I am fortunate to be under a wonderful doctor's care and thankful that this was caught early. I am looking forward to a quick and full recovery."

The accusations were contained in a letter the defense sent to federal prosecutors and the judge who handled the case.
