Aikin Releases New Album

Clay Aiken will release a new album and his first book, both on November 16. The album will be a collection of holiday music, while the book, "Learning to Sing: Hearing the Music in Your Life," tells of Aiken's journey, from special education teacher to pop star.

You might want to pick up a Slurpee while you get Jessica Simpson's next album. Jessica will release her first holiday disc and it will be sold exclusively at 7-Eleven convenience stores throughout October and November. Meanwhile, Simpson and husband Nick Lachey will host their second variety special December 10 on ABC.

McDonald's has signed Destiny's Child to be the spokeswomen for its "I'm Lovin' It" advertising campaign. Destiny's Child replaces Justin Timberlake, although his "I'm Lovin' It" song will still be used in McDonald's advertising. No word on when the Destiny's Child TV commercials will begin or how much they were paid.

Tony Bennett tells Access Hollywood that he and Whitney Houston will record a ballad together soon. It's assumed it would be for the new album Whitney is recording with Arista Records honcho Clive Davis.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne will host an MTV reality series to find a band to play at the next Ozzfest. Bands will be judged on their musicianship, their stage presence and, maybe, their ability to get drunk and swear.
