Travis Scott hit with another Astroworld lawsuit from family of 14-year-old boy

Travis hit with another suit

Travis Scott is facing more legal action in the wake of his Astroworld tragedy.

Hundreds were injured and 10 people lost their lives during a crowd surge at the event earlier this month, with more than 300 lawsuits currently on the table, reported The Blast.

The latest is from the family of John Hilgert, the 14-year-old boy who died as a result of injuries sustained at the event, who are suing Travis and promoters Live Nation in the state of Texas.

Papers were filed in a Houston court on Wednesday, stating that Travis and organizers of the festival failed to provide a safe environment for attendees, and there was a "lack of personnel, barriers and emergency medical staff."

Hilgert's father, Chris, also released a statement to People, sharing the pain the family has experienced since losing their young boy during his first concert experience.

"The pain of our loss from our son John not making it home alive from an event such as this is intolerable," he said. "He was a beautiful young man who simply wanted to enjoy his first concert event with friends, whom he treasured spending time with more than anything else. This pain should never be felt by anyone over a loved one attending a live concert.

"Our sole aim in filing this lawsuit is to prevent this type of tragedy from ever happening again at a live concert. There is no excuse for the poor crowd design, event execution and lack of response that was exercised at this festival that resulted in the tragic death of our son and nine others along with scores of other people that were innocently injured."

They are seeking $1 million in damages.
