Jake Paul & Tommy Fury reviewing contracts for potential fight night

YouTube star Jake Paul's rumored fight with Love Island contestant Tommy Fury is definitely on the cards, according to top fight promoter Frank Warren.

The younger brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and the social media personality-turned-boxer have been embroiled in a war of words and an official punch up between the pair has been hinted at for months.

Their rivalry revved up in August (21) when Tommy was on the undercard for Jake's fight against former UFC champion Tyron Woodley and the two exchanged verbal barbs.

Now, according to Warren, the duo is at the "sorting contracts" stage.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Warren said: "We're sorting contracts out at the moment. Until they are signed, we know it doesn't mean anything."

The Brit added the fight will likely take place in the U.S.

"I think it's going to happen. We're not far off doing it," he notes.

Tyson, who defeated Deontay Wilder when defending his World Boxing Council (WBC) title on Saturday (09Oct21), quipped before the fight he'd make his younger brother quit the sport and change his last name if he fails to beat Jake.

The heavyweight champ said, "If Tommy can't splatter Jake Paul, I'll retire him from boxing myself. If he can't beat Jake Paul, forget about boxing.

"Because he's got ambitions of being a world champion, never mind beating some YouTube guy. But Tommy - his name's Fury. If he can't beat Jake Paul, I'll have to change his name."
