Drake's new album Certified Lover Boy includes collaborations with JAY-Z, Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne on his new album Certified Lover Boy.
The 34-year-old rapper dropped the record - his first full length release since Scorpion in 2018 - on Friday (03Sep21), almost a year after it was originally scheduled to hit shelves.
Other stars to feature on the record, which is executive produced by the God's Plan emcee include Giveon, Lil Durk, Kid Cudi, Future, Yebba, Young Thug, Lil Baby and 21 Savage.
Future and Young Thug appear on the track Way 2 Sexy, which samples Right Said Fred's smash hit I'm Too Sexy, while N'SYNC's 1997 track Sailing is sampled in tune TSU.
In a post on his Instagram Stories, the rapper described his sixth album as, "A combination of toxic masculinity and acceptance of truth which is inevitably heartbreaking." He also dedicated the album to late Instagram models Nadia Ntuli and Mercedes Morr who both passed away this year.
Ahead of the release of the record, Drake's mom Sandi Graham had been sending him sweet and encouraging notes, with her message on Tuesday (31Aug21) reading: "To: Lover Boy Three days more we're counting down, for us to hear the best. Everyone's excited, cause you're nothing like the rest. Three more days my pookaroo I couldn't be more proud of you! Loving mom."
On Wednesday, she wrote: "To Loverboy Day two is here, one more to go. We go high when they go low. Certified " its (sic) been quite a ride, I forever admire your relentless drive. From: Loving Mom."
And Thursday saw her write: "It's finally come. The countdown has reached one. With each new album my heart skips a beat. Being your mother has been my life's greatest treat. It's been a long hard road together. Now there's one more day to go. I wanna celebrate you son, more than you'll ever know. Love you more now and forever."
