Faith Hill Vegas Concert

Lionel Richie once appeared on American Idol, but because he's an internationally famous artist, he's doing Canadian Idol tonight. Lionel advised the contestants on how to best perform his songs, and they'll showcase what they've learned on tonight's show. Lionel will also perform - he'll sing his latest hit, Just for You.

Faith Hill played the first of four dates in Las Vegas last night at the Caesars Palace Colosseum - her first major concert in four years. She'll also appear there tonight, Friday and Saturday. Hill's currently working on a new album, and she's including some of that music in the Vegas shows. But the highlight of last night's show, according to many of those who were there, was a surprise duet of Let's Make Love with Tim McGraw during her encore.

Matchbox Twenty front-man Rob Thomas is planning to team up with Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates for Daryl's next solo album. According to MTV Online, Rob and Daryl first hooked up at a New York City benefit show last week. Meanwhile, Rob's first solo CD is on track for release early next year.

John Mellencamp's most popular songs have been collected on the compilation Words and Music: John Mellencamp's Greatest Hits, which will be released on October 19. The collection spans Mellencamp's entire career and includes two new songs - Walk Tall and Thank You.

NBC is bringing family reunions into the realty TV world. The network has announced plans to launch Extreme Reunion, according to Zap2it.com. The show will reunite long-lost relatives, friends, and old flames. Interested parties can apply on NBC's website.
