The Donald Gets The Boot

If Donald Trump had been on The Apprentice, he would have heard those two little words: “You’re fired!”

Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts Inc. fired the real estate tycoon from his CEO position today.

The company has been in trouble for a while. It’s in debt about $1.6 billion and has come close to defaulting on interest payments during a restructuring process.

Trump’s dismissal doesn’t mean much to him though. He’s still chairman of the board and retains a 25 percent controlling stake.

“This is a very small portion of my net worth. It's less than 2 percent," said Trump.
