Neil Peart
A memorial for Rush rocker Neil Peart is to take place in Ontario on May 16.
A Night for Neil will take over the Meridian Center in the late drummer's hometown and benefit St. Catherine's Hospital and Walker Cancer Center, the Juravinsky Hospital and Cancer Center, the Royal Victoria Regional Health Center, as well as Overtime Angels.
"We are pleased to be able to support this charity event that will benefit some much needed organizations that are close to our hearts," Peart's parents Glen and Betty Peart write in a statement.
A Night for Neil will feature as-yet-unannounced musicians and guest speakers.
The rock legend lost his battle with brain cancer on Jan. 7, aged 67.
