Red, white and Blue Rodeo

When it comes to pairing wines, we usually think of food. This weekend in the Okanagan, wine lovers are pairing some fine vintages with some legendary musicians.

Blue Rodeo frontman Jim Cuddy is doing an acoustic show at Fitzpatrick Family Vineyards in Peachland.

Cuddy has won the Order of Canada recipient and is a 13-time Juno Award winner. He will perform with Colin Cripps and Anne Lindsay tonight, on the Fitzpatrick Vineyard patio overlooking Okanagan Lake.

The views will also be spectacular Sunday night, as Mission Hill winery continues its concert series with a sold-out show by the legendary Micheal McDonald.

McDonald's career  encompasses five Grammys, numerous chart successes and personal and professional accolades. Hailing from St. Louis, McDonald arrived in Los Angeles in the early 1970s, honing his talents as a studio musician before becoming an integral part of Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers, followed by an impressive solo career.

Music, wine and warm summer nights are proving to be a perfect pairing.
