Country stars to perform

Canadian country star George Canyon will perform in Kelowna on April 27.

Canyon will play at the OK Corral along with Doc Walker, Charlie Major, and introducing Manny Blu.

Canyon rose to become one of Canada’s hottest country music stars in the early 2000s and has Juno Awards, CCMA Awards, and ECMA Awards to his credit. He has been inducted into the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame, recorded 12 albums, and was recently presented a certified platinum award for his debut album, One Good Friend. 

Doc Walker are touring in support of their their new album, Weathervane. With over 20 top 10 singles, Doc Walker is one of the most recognized Canadian country acts of the past two decades. The group has received multiple Canadian Country Music Awards, including Fans' Choice, Group or Duo of the Year, CMT Video of the Year, Single of the Year, and Country Music Program or Special of the Year. Doc Walker also bagged a Juno Award for Country Album of the Year in 2009, for Beautiful Life.

Charlie Major champions the ‘Blue Collar Hero’ in his countrified roots rock that channels Mellencamp and Springsteen. He has sold nearly half a million records in Canada and won three Juno Awards and seven CCMAs.

Manny Blu is a recent transplant to Nashville, influenced by the talents of John Mayer, Adam Levine, Jordan Davis, and Sam Hunt. His debut EP comes out this spring.
