Honeymoon with her ex

Gwyneth Paltrow and her new husband Brad Falchuk took a family vacation with her ex, Chris Martin, last month.

The Avengers: Infinity War star and American Horror Story co-producer Brad tied the knot in September, but they didn't embark on their honeymoon until last month, because they wanted to make the vacation a family affair and tie up schedules with Martin, the father of Gwyneth's kids.

"We just took our honeymoon in the Maldives," she told Live with Kelly and Ryan on Wednesday. "We had a big family honeymoon over Christmas. So (it was) my new husband, his children, my children, my ex-husband, our best family friends. It was a very modern honeymoon. It was great, we had such a good time."

Gwyneth and Chris, who separated in 2014 after 10 years of marriage, have become poster people for the modern former couple and she explains they have been able to maintain an amicable partnership because they keep the focus on their two children, Apple and Moses.

"We just wanted to minimize the pain for the kids," she adds. "They just want to see their parents around the dinner table, basically, so we try to keep that."

The 46 year old previously opened up about the pain she felt at the end of her first marriage.

"I think Chris and I are very like-minded and that we really were disappointed that our marriage wasn't going to work, and we weren't going to have the thing where you're married to the parent of your children for the rest of your lives," she said on The Goop Podcast last year.
