101 Silk FM’s Cher concert sold out in record time. It took 4 minutes to sellout Prospera Place, beating the 8 minutes from Elton John. And while listening to a Cher CD is fun, let's face it -- she's all about the visual. That's why fans will appreciate the release of The Very Best of Cher: The Video Hits, which is out on DVD today. The DVD spans Cher's entire solo career, from 1974's Dark Lady all the way up to Song For The Lonely. In between, you'll get the videos for smash hits like I Found Someone, Believe and, of course, the notorious clip for If I Could Turn Back Time, which featured Cher prancing around half-naked on a Navy ship.
We can all exhale now -- the marriage of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony is, apparently, legal. Last week, there was speculation that it was not because Marc obtained his divorce in the Dominican Republic and, reportedly, the law there stipulates that he would have had to wait sixty days to remarry. However, a check of the Dominican lawbooks, shows there's actually only a 24-hour waiting period before the divorced party can remarry.
Warner Music Group has agreed to buy Madonna out of Maverick Records, the label she co-founded 12 years ago, to end the legal battle that pitted the music conglomerate against their biggest star. Madonna's Maverick Records debuted with a flourish and included the multiplatinum debut of Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill" in 1995. More recently, the company has scored hits with Michelle Branch.
As Mark Jefferies told you yesterday, the Jackson Five are reportedly set to reunite for the first time in 20 years. The five brothers -including Michael, have agreed in principle to a new album, and world tour as well as a TV talent show. That’s if Jacko’s legal woes go smoothly… and so far things are challenging. Michael Jackson's bail will NOT be lowered from its original sum of three-million dollars. That's according to Santa Barbara County Judge Ridney Melville, who ruled Friday that Jacko's wealth justified the bail amount.
Dogs come before journalists in the world of Ashley Judd. Last weekend at the Four Seasons in Las Vegas, the "De-Lovely" diva kept interviewers waiting for an hour and a half because she had to take a bath with her cockapoos, Buttermilk and Shrug.
