Courtenay Cox Has A Girl

Harry Potter continues to weave its magic at the box office as Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban remained the number-one movie in America for the second consecutive week. The third installment in the film series took in 35.1 million dollars over the weekend, easily topping Vin Diesel's The Chronicles of Riddick, which debuted in the silver position, earning 24.6 million dollars. Shrek came in third.

The weekend's other new releases all did pretty well. The Stepford Wives pulled in a hair more than 22 million dollars for fourth place and Garfield: The Movie placed fifth with a healthy 21.7 million dollars.

A few weeks after her Friends alter ego became a mother on the series finale, Courtenay Cox followed suit. According to People magazine, Cox gave birth to a baby girl Sunday in LA. The girl, who was due next week, has yet to be named. It's also unclear how much she weighed. This is the first child for Cox, who turns 40 tomorrow, and her husband, 32-year-old David Arquette.

Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin is in hot water again - this time for allegedly swimming with two whales in the ocean off Antarctica and getting too close to penguins and seals. Australian environmental authorities were investigating the allegations that he breached regulations governing how close people can get to wildlife in the Antarctic. But the exuberant Australian entertainer best known for wrestling crocodiles on his popular television show denied any wrongdoing, saying he had only climbed onto an iceberg after his dry suit ripped while his company was filming the whales.
