Cummings to play KCT

One of Canada's most celebrated rock musicians is returning to Kelowna.

Burton Cummings will play the Kelowna Community Theatre Tuesday, Oct. 17. It's part of his Up Close and Alone B.C. tour.

Cummings will bring with him an extensive library of songs that has transcended time, genres and generations.

With the Guess Who, Cummings wrote, or co-wrote a string of hits, including American Woman, These Eyes, Laughing and No Time.

He produced several more hits once he launched his solo career in 1976, including I'm Scared, My Own Way To Rock, Break It To Them Gently, I Will Play A Rhapsody and Timeless Love, among many others.

Cummings is a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame and Canada's Walk of Fame.

He will perform many of his hits during the Up Close and Alone solo tour. The performance will also include stories behind his best known songs and personal moments from his career.

Tickets go on sale Friday, July 7, at selectyourtickets.com, by phone at 250-762-5050, or at the Prospera Place box office.
