Local Artists Share Emmy Win

In the past year, two local residents have been hard at work on a series for Discovery Health called “Adoption Stories” Thirty-five episodes were produced in Canada and another thirty-five in the United States.

Narrator Janyse Jaud of Kelowna has added her voice to all 70 episodes while David McIlvride also of Kelowna, produced the first 20 Canadian episodes for this series.

One of those first episodes directed by Arlene Hazzan-Green was awarded an Emmy for Best Direction in a Special Class Series at ceremonies in Los Angeles on May 15th. Janyse was present at the ceremonies in the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood and Highland, while David was unable to attend as he is currently on Mount Everest producing a new series for Discovery Channel.

Janyse Jaud is just wrapping up the second season of “Adoption Stories”, while currently recording “Melissa Duck” for Baby Looney Tunes for Warner Bros and “Pinkie Pie” for the series My Little Pony.

David McIlvride is almost finished three months on Mount Everest where they are shooting six one-hour documentaries called “Ultimate Survival- Everest” for Discovery Channel.
