Angelina Jolie Has Meltdown

Even stars have their doubts about their abilities and talents when it comes down to it.

Stars such as Angelina Jolie, who recently fessed up during a live web-chat with Marie Clare magazine that she had a complete mental, messy, crying meltdown in the shower right before shooting began on her directorial debut, ‘In The Land of Blood and Honey’.

"I had a complete emotional breakdown in the shower and Brad found me crying," Jolie revealed. "I felt this huge responsibility and I felt very small. 'Who am I to take this on?'"

"I didn't plan to become a director, and I still have trouble saying I'm a director," Jolie went on. "I just wanted to tell this story and I ended up by default being the director," she said. "It was a pleasure, but I wonder if it would be a pleasure with another cast and crew, and a subject matter that wasn't so special."

‘In The Land of Blood and Honey’ is up for a Golden Globe on Sunday for Best Foreign Language Film, which is interesting as it has not been receiving very good reviews, and it is doubted that it’ll be up for an Academy Award as it does not fit the foreign film category requirements.

There is talk though that Jolie may be up for a Best Director nod.

Here is a quick breakdown of the film:

Ajla (Zana Marjanović) is a Bosnian Muslim artist who is in a romantic relationship with Danijel (Goran Kostić), who is a Bosnian Serb police officer before the Bosnian war.

Once the conflict erupts, Ajla is rounded up with other Muslim woman and taken to a camp where they soon learn the horrible fate that awaits them by Serbian soldiers.

Danijel, who is an officer at the camp (and whose father is the Serb general), discovers Ajla and warns the other solders to stay away from her.

The film follows their relationship over the next several years at the camp, and blurs the line between whether the two actually love each other or whether she is merely tolerating him to save herself from a fate far worse!

Jennifer Lopez Comes Under Fire for Fiat Ads

I think J-Lo might be regretting her whole relationship with the Italian automaker, Fiat, currently!
A non-profit advocacy group is putting the pressure on the singer to either end her endorsement with the car company or be accused of supporting Iran’s illegal nuclear missile program!

In an open letter, the United Nuclear Iran (UANI) group warned Lopez, "By endorsing Fiat, you are serving as a spokesperson for a company that freely does business with a regime that is developing an illegal nuclear weapons program, financing and sponsoring terrorist groups including al-Qaeda, has killed American and NATO soliders and is recognized as one of the world's leading human rights violators."

I don’t think she was planning on endorsing illegal nuclear missiles when she signed up for gig!

Apparently a subsidiary company for Fiat, called Iveco, sells and distributes trucks in Iran that have reportedly been used as a way to relocate said missiles and to “stage gruesome public executions.”

In the letter, UANI gives the singer until January 18th to reply on whether or not she will continue with her ads for the company.

"This campaign will continue, and we have plans to continue highlighting [Lopez's] involvement with Fiat if necessary," said UANI's Nathan Carleton.

The group has also sent a similar letter to the CEO at Fiat, pleading with the company to cut ties with Iran and points out that other auto manufacturers such as Kia and Toyota have already followed suit!

Friends with Kids

An ensemble comedy starring Kristin Wiig, Jon Hamm, Adam Scott, Maya Rudolph and Jessica Westfeldt (who also wrote and directed the film), about two close friends (Scott and Westfeldt) who decide to have a child together without all the messy marriage, romantic stuff – keeping a platonic, best friend relationship while still dating other people.

Once the baby arrives, however, is when the trouble begins!

The two begin to realize they have feelings for each other that surpass the normal ‘best buddy’ arrangement they have made.  It especially becomes apparent when they begin to date other people (Megan Fox and Ed Burns).
