CRIME:           SHOPLIFTING

DATE:             September 1, 2019

RCMP FILE:   2019-55599 and 2019-54965

In an ongoing effort to identify and stop shoplifters, Loss Prevention Officers from local businesses are working with the RCMP in an attempt to reduce the amount of stolen merchandise from their stores.  On September 1, a Caucasian woman approximately 30 years old was observed selecting a significant amount of meat and left the store without paying (file 2019-54965).  On September 3, another female was at a different store shopping with two men.  The group paid for some groceries and departed, but the female was confronted about some unpaid merchandise in a backpack.  The woman threw the items on the floor and departed with the men in a Jeep (File 2019-55599).  If you can identify either of these alleged suspects, please contact West Kelowna RCMP or Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers.
