CRIME: OPTOMETRY OFFICE BREAK-IN

An alarm was activated at Strawn & Co. optometry office located on the 3600 block of Carrington Road in West Kelowna at 3:50 a.m. on July 28th, 2019. RCMP attended to find the front door smashed and several pairs of glasses on the floor. According to the company’s social media page the thief stole 92 pairs of luxury sunglasses including Kate Spade, Nine West, Tom Ford, Gucci, Serengetti, Carrera, Hugo Boss, Rayban, Salvatore Ferragamo, DKNY, Givenchy, Swarovski, Chloe and Longchamp. A number of St. Laurent glasses frames are also missing.

CRIME: ATTEMPTED BREAK AND ENTER

West Kelowna RCMP were called on Monday, July 29th when staff at Napa Auto Parts on Compass Court arrived to find a smashed front door. Surveillance shows a dark coloured SUV, possibly a Land Rover, back up to the front door at 3:00 a.m. on July 28th and a single male attempt to gain entry. He first smashed the glass, then kicked the metal and attempted to saw through it with a power tool. Luckily, the only thing the would-be thief managed to do was break the front door and disable the motion sensor.
