CRIME:           COMMERCIAL BREAK-INS

DATE:             September 1, 2018

RCMP FILE:    2018-54042, 2018-54044

West Kelowna RCMP members were dispatched to an alarm occurring at a commercial property at midnight on September 1st.  The motion alarms were activated at a bakery on the 3600 block of Carrington Road due to a rock being thrown through the front glass doors of the business.  The suspect was gone upon arrival, however video was viewed which revealed a red minivan approaching the building and a male wearing grey sweat pants, blue hoody and a trucker style baseball cap getting out of the vehicle and throwing a rock through the business’s glass doors.  The male entered the business through the hole in the door and headed straight to the cash register.  When he found it empty he quickly ran from the building.  Approximately 20 minutes later an alarm was set off at a restaurant on the 1500 block of Westgate Road.  An RCMP member attended to find a rock through the door but no entry had been gained.
