CRIME: DEBIT/CREDIT CARD FRAUD

A woman left her wallet at a local downtown business on June 12th and when she discovered it missing found that several charges had already been processed on her debit and credit cards. The suspect had also attempted to open a PayPal account with the banking information. Kelowna RCMP were able to obtain this photo at one of the convenience stores the cards were used at. CRIME: THEFT OF TOOLS FROM TRUCK

On June 13th an attempted theft of truck turned into a theft of tools when thieves were unable to start a truck parked on the 1700 block of Muir Road, just off Highway 33 in Rutland. Thieves pried open the door to the truck and tried to steal it, but apparently there were issues with the ignition. Instead they stole a significant number of Makita tools, all with the initials “RK” marked on them. Stolen tools include: a Makita job site radio, Makita soft carry bag holding a battery charger, two white Makita 18volt drills and a Makita reciprocating saw (s/n 355461) (no initials on the saw).
