A Water Quality Advisory (WQA) has been issued for water users within the McKinley Landing Area of the Glenmore-Ellison Improvement District (GEID).
In accordance with Interior Health Authority guidelines, Glenmore-Ellison Improvement District (GEID) has issued a WQA for residents in the McKinley Landing area effective 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
This does not affect residents in the Glenmore, Quail Ridge, UBCO, Dry Valley Road, or Ellison areas, who remain under a long-term WQA. GEID measures turbidity levels daily and provides current turbidity levels on our website: www.glenmore-ellison.com.
Due to an increase in Okanagan Lake turbidity which was measured and reconfirmed during daily testing on May 1, 2012, extra precautions should be taken for the residents in McKinley Landing until the WQA is removed.
