Big contract helps local firm

A BC company has just received the largest ever single order in the global waterpark sector.

WhiteWater West products, a company based in Richmond, signed a deal with Yinji Dynasty’s Zhengzhou Yinji Kaifeng Waterpark in Henan, China for $29-million worth of products.

“This is a remarkable project for WhiteWater,” says Geoff Chutter, the company’s CEO and founder.

“Since 1980, we’ve been committed to creating world-class, entertaining waterparks. Yinji Dynasty’s recent order is a testament to that commitment and to our growth.”

One of the WhiteWater’s manufacturing plants, FormAShape in Lake Country, will also benefit. They produce specialty products for the parent company and they are already looking to hire at least 10 new employees. Check out their employment adds on Castanet here.

The Zhengzhou Yinji Kaifeng Waterpark will be the largest in China upon completion, estimated to be in the summer of 2015.
