Suspects recorded farewell

The subjects of a cross-Canada manhunt recorded a "last will and testament" before killing themselves in remote Northern Manitoba.

Murder suspects Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky recorded the statement on a cellphone. RCMP shared a 30-second clip of the video with the murder suspects' families, an unnamed relative told Star Vancouver.

The video reportedly shows the suspects saying goodbye, CTV News reports.

Police have not publicly confirmed the existence of the video, but say more information on the case will be released in coming weeks.

The duo were wanted for the deaths of Chynna Deese, Lucas Fowler and Leonard Dyck, sparking a weeks-long manhunt that spanned from Northern B.C. to Gillam, Man., where their bodies were found near the Nelson River on Aug. 8.
