UPDATE 7:42 a.m.
The man who stabbed a priest during Friday Mass in Montreal this morning was also caught on tape during the assault with a weapon.
CTV News is reporting that a man armed with a large knife walked into Saint Joseph's Oratory during mass and attacked a priest.
The mass was being televised at the time of the incident and the video shows that at 8:40 a.m. a man wearing a dark winter coat and a light-colored baseball cap pulled out a large knife and ran up to the altar toward the priest.
Church security agents quickly detained the man and he was arrested a short time later.
The priest has been treated by paramedics and taken to hospital as a precaution however according to the Diocese of Quebec, Father Claude Grou's injuries are not serious.

A priest has been stabbed as he was celebrating mass this morning at Montreal's St. Joseph's Oratory.
Montreal police say the victim suffered minor injuries and a suspect has been arrested.
