Climber killed on Christmas

The ice climbing community is mourning one of their own on Thursday.

CTV News is reporting that an ice climber from Canmore Alberta's body has been discovered after he went ice climbing at an area near the town of Banff on Christmas Day.

RCMP have confirmed details about the death, but have not indicated anymore about the circumstances and what may have led to the climber's demise.

The victim's identity has not been released however those in the close-knit climbing community says the victim worked at an outdoor outfitters store in Canmore called Vahalla Pure.
