Snowfall warning in AB

UPDATE 10:28 a.m.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Trans-Canada Highway, Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass expect snowfall amounts between 10 and 20 centimetres is expected.

A low pressure system will track across southern B.C. today and move into Alberta overnight. As snow levels lower this evening, snow will start to accumulate rapidly over locations above about 1200 metres. Rogers Pass and the Yoho Park, Kootenay Park region are forecast to receive 10 to 20 centimetres tonight. The snow will taper off Tuesday morning as the low moves out of the area.

If you're not happy with spring in the Okanagan, just remember it could always be worse.

There is a snowfall warning in effect for the City of Calgary today, with as much as 20 centimetres expected.

A low-pressure system moving into the region from the Pacific will bring snowfall to parts of Alberta today and tonight. Snow has begun in southwestern parts of the province and will move north throughout the day.

Snow is expected to end tonight.

Near the eastern edge of the warning, including the city of Calgary, snowfall amounts will be highly variable and dependent on elevation. Lower portions of Calgary may see less than 10 cm while higher areas, most notably the northwestern part of the city, will likely see higher amounts.
