Emergency Act inquiry draws from TRU Law faculty

Old Main Law Entrance

Two TRU Law faculty members are among a small group invited to write about aspects of the law to assist the current inquiry into the federal government’s use of the Emergency Act in Ottawa last winter.

The Public Order Emergency Commission invited a small group of law professors, including Robert Diab and Colton Fehr, to write reports that will assist the inquiry. The commission has published their papers, which may help the inquiry formulate recommendations regarding the use of emergency powers in the future.

Both papers can be reviewed here.
