Twelve thousand jobs were created in BC during the month of October.
That brought the Unemployment rate down to 6.9% from 7.1% a month earlier.
In the Thompson-Okanagan region the unemployment rate fell to 6.5%, the lowest rate ever recorded.
In Canada, 34,000 jobs were created during October 2004, many of them part-time.
The national unemployment rate remained unchanged at 7.1%.
