Warriors complete deadline day deals

The West Kelowna Warriors have said goodbye to two players off their 2012-2013 roster to complete deals made just prior to the BC Hockey League trade deadline.

Forward Brent Lashuk and defenceman Matthew Berry have been sent to the Coquitlam Express to complete the deal which saw forward Mitch Nardi come to the Warriors.

Nardi had three goals and four assists in 19 games after joining the Warriors.

He missed the entire playoffs after suffering a concussion late in the regular season.

Nardi is expected to suit up with Lake Superior State University next season season.

"This year we tried to put ourselves in a position to have a chance in the playoffs, and to get something you have to give something. As an organization we want to wish both Matthew, and Brent, all the best and thank them for their contributions both on and off the ice."

The camp runs Friday through Sunday with the Top Prospects game slated for 2 p.m. Sunday.
