The younger brother of a former Penticton Vees player will be suiting up himself to join the BCHL team for the 2021/22 season.
Trevor O’Brien, age 18, had previously been a part of the Cape Cod Whalers team for the 2020-21 season in the U18 AAA league in Massachusetts, scoring 13 goals and adding 25 assists for 38 points. This was the second season for the forward played, seeing 56 career games while registering 53 points in that time.
O’Brien joins the team two seasons after his brother, former Vees forward Jay O’Brien, who played for the team during the 2019/20 season.
The Hingham, Massachusetts native finishes up his school year at St. Mark’s School in prep hockey, playing in 29 games with the school a season ago, posting 19 goals and 22 assists for 41 points in that span.
"The Vees would like to welcome Trevor and his family back to the organization as well as the South Okanagan and City of Penticton," reads the press release.
