Defenceman Wyatt Head is heading back to West Kelowna

Warriors get Head back

Defenceman Wyatt Head will finish out his junior eligibility with the West Kelowna Warriors.

Head, 20, played parts of three seasons with the Warriors, scoring nine goals and 63 points in 124 games and another eight points in 12 post season games.

the Kelowna native began the season with the NCAA's Quinnipiac Bobcats, but has decided to return home.

“I really enjoyed my time at Quinnipiac”, said Head.

“It was an unbelievable group of guys but it just wasn’t the right fit for me hockey wise so I’ve decided to return to West Kelowna as I feel it’s the best choice for my hockey future. I’m excited to get things going again on the ice”.

Head will be in the lineup this weekend when the Warriors face the Smoke Eaters in Trail Friday before hosting Wenatchee Saturday.
