West Kelowna Warriors begin a 3-game road trip Friday

Warriors hit the road again

The West Kelowna Warriors extended road trip continues with a tough three-game trip through the Island Division.

The trip begins Friday in Powell River before making stops in Port Alberni Saturday and Duncan Sunday afternoon.

The three-game trip is part of a string of seven straight away from home.

The Warriors dropped the opening two games, falling 8-2 in Trail and 4-1 in Coquitlam last Friday.

They have now lost five in a row, picking up just a single point from a shootout loss to Trail over that span.

The Warriors head into Powell River to face a Kings team that has dropped two in a row, both shutout losses to division rivals Nanaimo and Alberni Valley.

Despite their recent struggles, the Warriors remain sixth in the Interior Division, five points better than the seventh place Merritt Centennials.

The Warriors are expected to be without forward Parm Dhaliwal and defenceman Jake Harrison, both on the injured list, and forward Rob Christy who is no longer listed on the team's roster.
