Despite pushing hard for the equalizer, the Vernon Vipers came up short in a 2-1 loss to the Wenatchee Wild Friday.
The BC Hockey League clubs met in the American city for the Vipers second regular-season game of the 2019-20 season.
The Wild held a 2-0 lead going into the third before Landon Fuller found the back of the net for the Vipers.
However, the Wild were able to hold off the Vipers for the remainder of the game for the win.
The Snakes will have a chance to even things up tonight when they face the Wild once again.
