Warriors coming to town

The battle of the Okanagan will heat up tonight when the West Kelowna Warriors come to town.

The Warriors will square off against the Vernon Vipers at Kal Tire Place in BC Hockey League Interior Division action.

The Warriors will be hoping for some redemption, after falling to the Vipers in their last two meetings.

“I honestly don’t remember the last time we got a win in Vernon, it’s going to be hard, but as long as we roll four lines and compete for a full 60 minutes we can come out with a win tonight,” said Warriors Assistant Coach Matt Miller.

The Warriors are coming off a 5-4 loss to Merritt in West Kelowna Friday evening.

The West Kelowna squad currently hold down fourth place of the Interior Division with 37 points.

The Vipers are falling behind the leaders with 31 points for sixth place, one point ahead of the Trail Smoke Eaters at the bottom of the division.

The Penticton Vees hold down top spot in the division with 43 points, one point ahead of the Wenatchee Wild and Merritt Centennials who are tied for second.
