The Penticton Vees have announced 2000-born forward Henri Schreifels has committed to play with the team for the 2018-19 season.
The California native currently plays for the Anaheim Jr. Ducks in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League, and has logged 25 goals and 27 assists in 32 games this season.
His 52 points leads the league in scoring.
Schreifels was in Penticton at the beginning of training camp with his Ducks teammates skating with the Vees for a week.
The Ducks’ coaching staff features former Vee as T.J. Miller as assistant coach.
The next Vees home game goes Feb. 9 against the Trail Smoke Eaters.
