The Okanagan Sun look to continue winning way in first of back-to-back games with winless Kamloops

Sun face winless Broncos

The Okanagan Sun will look to continue their dominance of the Kamloops Broncos when the two teams tangle Sunday evening in Kamloops.

The Sun have never lost to the Broncos in 25 meetings since Kamloops re-entered the league in 2007.

They come into Sunday's contest riding the wave from a 39-14 thumping of the VI Raiders in Nanaimo.

They'll also look to ride the coattails of league rushing leader Malcolm Miller, who ran for a franchise record 325 yards against the Raiders. He could become the first Sun running back to eclipse 200 yards on the ground in back-to-back weeks with another strong performance Sunday.

The Sun, 3-1, have put up a league-leading 140 points over their first four games including a 7-0 shutout loss in a game shortened by darkness in Langley two weeks ago.

The running game has produced much of the offence for the Sun so far this season.

The Sun have gobbled up more than 850 yards on the ground this season, led by Miller's 649 yards.

But, it's through the air they have had some struggles. Quarterback Dominic Britton has thrown for 660 yards, 2nd in the league, but also has a league-high eight interceptions.

Mike O'Shea leads all receiver with 13 catches for 302 yards and four touchdowns.

The Broncos on the other hand have managed just 36 points in three losses this season while giving up 125.

Cam Gregorczyk leads the team in both rushing (189 yards) and receiving (143 yards).

Their quarterbacks have thrown for a combined 433 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions.

Kickoff Sunday is 6,p.m. at Hillside Stadium.

The same two teams take to the field the following weekend, in the Sun home opener at the Apple Bowl.
