Wheel falls off trailer during commercial vehicle pullover

A Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement officer made a quick stop last month on the Coquihalla Highway.

According to a social media post from BC Transportation and Infrastructure, a vehicle bypassed the Zopkios brake check on Jan. 27.

When a CVSE officer pulled it over, a wheel came off the trailer and began to roll down the highway.

“The CVSE officer chased the rolling wheel and managed to block it with their vehicle before it hit another vehicle. Phew,” said the post.

No additional details were released.
