B.C.'s major route to Alberta is closed for the day.
The Trans-Canada Highway will be closed almost all day between Revelstoke and Golden today, for avalanche control work.
DriveBC reports the highway is closed with no detour.
The entire 142-kilometre is currently closed.
DriveBC is expected to update the situation at 4 p.m., with an expected reopening by 5 p.m.
