Revelstoke collision cleared after Trans-Canada Highway closure

Highway 1 conditions at Revelstoke as of 9 a.m.

DriveBC report the incident that closed Highway 1 in Revelstoke has now been cleared.

ORIGINAL: 9:15 a.m.

A collision has closed the Trans-Canada Highway in Revelstoke.

The highway is closed in both directions between Meadows in the Sky Parkway and Townley Street over a distance of 2.8 kilometres, DriveBC reports.

The highway is expected to remain closed until 11 a.m.

Webcams show snowy conditions in the area.

A scene assessment is in progress. Watch for traffic control.
