Eight garbage bags full of magic mushrooms and nine guns were seized during a police raid Monday in tiny Greenwood, B.C.
RCMP say they executed a search warrant Nov. 14 on a rural property on Lind Creek Road with the help of tactical and forensic officers, a crisis negotiator team and federal weapons enforcement.
One of the nine guns seized was a prohibited firearm, along with eight bags of psilocybin mushrooms and two plastic containers of cannabis.
Three locals—a 64-year-old man, a 35-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman—were arrested for assault causing bodily harm, forcible confinement and uttering threats.
Additional charges will be recommended to the Crown for firearms and drug offenses.
All three accused have since been released on bail with multiple conditions including not to possess any firearms or ammunition.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Midway RCMP at 250-644-8896.
