A Canadian Forces Cormorant helicopter airlifted a patient from a cruise ship off Vancouver Island over the weekend.
Maritime Forces Pacific shared images of the rescue on its Facebook page.
The rescue happened Sunday as the cruise ship Norwegian Bliss was about 20 nautical miles offshore from Northern Vancouver Island.
The CH-149 Cormorant from 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron, based out of CFB Comox, conducted a medevac lift of the patient from the ship as it hovered overhead.
The patient was then successfully transported to Comox to receive medical care.
