Police arrest man with pellet gun after Prince George scare

Shot at windows of store

Prince George RCMP have a suspect in custody, following reports of a man shooting at the windows of a business with a handgun Thursday morning.

The report came in at 9:40 a.m. and officers flooded the Parkwood Shopping Centre area. Witnesses identified the suspect, who was walking away, to officers who took the suspect into custody.

A search of the suspect revealed a concealed handgun-shaped pellet gun.

“Only five minutes elapsed from the time police received the initial call to the time a suspect was arrested,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

The suspect is well known to police for similar incidents and will remain in custody while police forward charges against the man.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
