A vehicle incident that closed Highway 93 near Radium this morning has been cleared

Highway 93 has been reopened in both directions.

The highway was closed between Radium Hot Springs, and 30 kilometres south of the B.C./Alberta border near Kootenay National Park for 64.5 kilometres.

Expect some delays if you're driving in the area, as traffic was stopped in both directions for approximately one hour.

The incident occurred between Radium Hot Springs, and 30 kilometres south of the B.C./Alberta border near Kootenay National Park. The closure spans for 64.5 kilometres.

A detour is not available and the road is closed is both directions, so DriveBC warns of major delays for those travelling in the area.

There is no word yet on if any injuries were sustained as a result of the crash, but crews are on scene investigating,
