Free online kids camp

The BC SPCA is stepping up for children impacted by wildfires by offering a free online summer camp.

The BC SPCA Camp@Home is 5 days of online sessions that includes games, crafts, expert guests and many animal visitors, all set on a secure platform where campers can learn and enjoy themselves safely.

“We know animals make life better,” says Kamloops Humane educator Deirdre Campbell. “We can’t bring the animals to everyone in person but we can take campers on a virtual field trip to a farm, or make an animal craft with them, or play some games that help them learn more about their pets. We really want kids to have a fun camp experience and just be kids for a while.”

Families interested can simply reach out to [email protected] with the header “Wildfire Camp.” For more information on the program or to register, click here. The camp season runs straight through to August 27.
