Police investigating discovery of body in Victoria park

Victoria police are investigating the sudden death of a woman whose body was found on the south side of Beacon Hill Park, Wednesday.

Just after 6 a.m., officers received a report that an unresponsive woman had been found in the park. Firefighters and paramedics were also at the scene.

Despite receiving CPR, the woman was pronounced dead.

Detectives are looking for witnesses and information as they continue to investigate the death. Police would like to talk to any pedestrians, cyclists or drivers who were in the area between midnight and 6 a.m.

“Investigators are ­particularly interested in ­dashcam footage from anyone driving in that area,” said Const. Cam MacIntyre.
