The BC SPCA is looking for photos of cute pets for its annual calendar contest

Looking for cute pets

To be clear, we're talking about pets. The BC SPCA is looking for photos of animals for its 2022 Calendar.

Enter the contest by submitting your pet’s photo and story to the calendar contest website and then invite friends and family to donate in support of their furry friend. The 13 animals (12 months and one cover) with the most votes at midnight on Feb. 28 will win a spot in the 2022 BC SPCA Calendar.

“We know there are lots of animal-lovers out there with a camera roll full of pictures of their pets," says Tess Repenning, senior manager of digital giving for the BC SPCA. "And our annual Calendar Contest is the perfect way to share them while raising urgently needed funds for homeless, abused and injured animals.”

In 2020, the BC SPCA helped over 97,000 domestic, farm and wild animals in need, through cruelty investigations, sheltering and adoption, emergency veterinary care and rehabilitation and more.

The BC SPCA says this year's contest also has some exciting new features like the Hill's Honourable Mention, sponsored by Hill's Pet Nutrition – which will also be printed in the calendar.

Hill's will give 25 bonus votes to anyone signing up with a donation of $25 or more on the contest's Feb. 11 launch. The pet nutrition brand provides all the food for cats and dogs in BC SPCA care.
